Years of Expertise & Professionalism
A native of Philadelphia, Arthur has an extensive background in the arts. Starting out as a classical and jazz bassists at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative & Performing Arts. He then went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Widener University. He also has an Academic Creative Writing Certificate. He is a current Graduate Student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gwynedd Mercy University.


Creative Writing Experience
His first book, “A Place Where I Lost My Jesus”, was self-published in 2003. While continuing his education, he took a break from writing. He is currently working on several short stories and collections of poetry, and will be publishing his re-debut novel, “The Prince of Brown: A Fictional Memoir” by the middle of 2026.
Commitment and Giving Back
Keeping in tradition of Widener University’s commitment to Civic Engagement, Arthur uses his platform to offer the Black Gay Community different outlets to Literature. In a White, Hetero dominated industry of Literature, he feels it is important to have these spaces for Black, gay individuals and to have these discussions. Welcome to Black Gay Writers and Readers!
